EssayDune.com is a UK based online writing service that serves college and graduate students only. While it appears to be a relatively new company (we are unable to find customer reviews more than six months old), we are providing this review so that students have accurate and objective information as they consider the use of a writing service. Given that, this review covers all of the elements and evaluations that we perform on all writing companies, including the site content, testimonials the site provides, reviews that we find elsewhere online, our experiences with the customer support department, and our assessment of a piece of writing we order and receive. Our rating is based upon all of these factors.

Services Offered

Essay Dune provides academic services to students at the undergraduate and graduate levels of college study. These products and services include essays, papers, lab reports, case studies, reviews and analyses, written coursework assignment, theses, dissertations, and more. In addition to academic products, EssayDune also offers editing and proofreading, and admissions/scholarship essays.

Prices

EssayDune.com prices do fall within the average range for academic writing products. They range from $10/page with a 14-day deadline to $47/page for academic works with more urgent deadlines. Admissions essay products are quite pricey, however. We checked the dissertation prices by going the through the initial ordering process and were surprised to discover that a dissertation could be produced in 2 days. We called the Essay Dune support department to check and were assured that this was so. This is a huge red flag, for no original dissertation can be produced within such a small window of time

We ordered an 8-page research paper with a 6-day deadline, and it was priced at $168.00. We also received the piece on time, and our instructions were followed. Comments on the quality of writing are covered below.

We are able to say that EssayDune is not a fraud or scam. They do take orders, process payments securely, and meet customer deadlines.

Discounts and Additional Features

We were unable to find a promo code for new customers. We did access the link for discounts and discovered that when an order is over $500, a 5% discount applies; if over $1000, a 10% reduction in price is given. No coupon codes are provided. Customers must contact customer service if they believe they qualify.

Like most writing services, Essay Dune offers some free features – bibliography, outline, and formatting. They also state that they check all products for plagiarism before delivering them to customers. In the order form, however, a plagiarism report is only provided at an extra fee.

Customer Support and Site Usability

The Essay Dune site is quite easy to navigate. Links at the top of the page take visitors to a number of pages for information, testimonials, ordering, prices, etc. We were not able to find a blog or sample writings.

We contacted the Customer Support department on three occasions – once to ask about dissertation writing, and twice with questions about the service itself. There is not an FAQ page. The representatives who spoke with us did not seem knowledgeable about the details of the policies and products, and it may be that an answering service is currently taking the calls. It was a bit difficult to understand the reps as they were obviously not native-English speaking.

Perhaps as the company grows, more will be added.

Writers

There is a small section stating that writers all have credentials and writing experience and are assigned according to their areas of expertise. The quality, however, was of concern in some of the customer reviews we read, as well as in the product we received from the company.

In our paper, there were a number of grammatical and structural errors, as well as incorrect word usage and subject-verb agreement mistakes, indicative of an ESL writer. As well, there was no solid thesis statement in the opening paragraph or appropriate transitions between paragraphs and sections. The other issue we note is that content was repeated, just re-written in different form.

Conclusion

In compiling pros & cons, we note that the company does deliver products and services as ordered by its customers. The quality, however, is of concern. Another concern was a representative telling us that a dissertation could be produced in two days. Add to that the fact that we cannot find an Essay Dune BBB membership. We are applying a current rating of only “Fair” and may perhaps re-visit the company and its site in another year or so.
